FINAL PRODUCT

(This is what the concept was going to be originally. But the overlap would’ve confused viewers- over stigmatizing them in the final installation.)

Commissioned by Archi-Treasures (Non-Profit based in Chicago). We were tasked with the mission to create a mural dedicated to the location. We were tasked along side a different artist who photographed the residents of the neighborhood.

We were tasked with the job to create a mural around those photographs. The challenge was to create something both intriguing but not enough where it takes away from the main focus (the people). The wall is about 300 ft long- meaning we had to coordinate measurements to make sure the flowers were in alignment with the photographer.

We started with sketches of what we wanted the general composition & flower species to be. Eventually we settled on red tulips.
